Pianist Robert Irving III moves from Miles to Monk at the 2007 Chicago Jazz Festival. A grand evening of Thelonious Monk's music from one of the strong talents at the festival. Irving's band includes the outstanding sounds of Pharez Whited on trumpet, saxophonist James Perkins, Harrison Bankhead on bass and drummer Charles Heath.
